Underwater ROV inspections

True transparency. Better information. Smarter underwater asset management.

At Mariscan, we believe clients should understand the condition of their underwater assets before committing to the significant cost of mobilising a commercial dive team.

Where conditions and access allow, we use our specially adapted BlueROV2 system to conduct an initial underwater inspection during the site visit. This helps establish the condition of the asset, identify visible defects and determine the nature and extent of any further work required.

The ROV inspection also helps us assess whether commercial divers are genuinely needed, or whether the required information can be obtained safely and efficiently using remote inspection technology.

All relevant video footage, photographs and findings are shared with the client. This provides true transparency and allows the client to review the evidence, understand our recommendations and make an informed decision before committing significant expenditure to a full commercial diving operation.

If divers are required, the initial ROV inspection can also help define the scope of work, identify potential hazards and improve planning. This can reduce uncertainty, avoid unnecessary time underwater and help ensure the correct personnel, equipment and resources are mobilised.

Our approach is simple

Inspect with an ROV first, wherever practical

Share the imagery and findings openly

Clearly explain what further work may be required

Recommend commercial divers only when the task genuinely requires them

Help the client make an evidence based decision

Mariscan provides honest, practical advice based on what the inspection reveals, not on selling the most expensive option
